PSIA partners with DA and LGU Caloocan City in urban gardening amid quarantine. PSIA member companies East-West Seed and Haverson provided planting materials and irrigation system, while Harvest constructed the seedling nursery greenhouse and vermicomposting area in Novaliches, Caloocan City. The MOA signing was held on June 11, 2020, with DA Secretary William Dar, Caloocan City Mayor Oca Malapitan, PSIA President Mary Ann Sayoc, DA Asst. Secretary William Medrano, Haverson CEO Olivia Wong, Harvest Executive Julius Barcelona, East-West Executive Leslie De Leon, BAI Director Ronnie Domingo, and ATI Director Rosana Mula. The community started harvesting in the middle of July.
